Production Council
Our Production Council is Grand Island Little Theatre's
"behind-the-scenes" team.
These committees work hard and collaboratively to ensure each production
goes off without a hitch.
The Production Council is always on the lookout for enthusiastic
volunteers at any time during the year.

Play Reading/Selection/Director Selection
Committee
These folks help shape our entire season. This committee is responsible for reviewing various plays and making the best selections to present as prospective performances for the upcoming GILT season.
Hospitality Committee
Help make our patrons feel at home. This committee takes care of refreshments and ushers for every show. They make sure there are people ready to set up and take down refreshment tables, serve food and drinks, take tickets and distribute programs.
Make-Up Committee
Members work closely with each director to make sure enough make-up is ordered, stored and available for each show.
Props Committee
We give mad props to these people. This committee oversees all aspects of preparing props to be used in each production. They'll take inventory, repair and store all props in-house and arrange, rent and receive additional props if needed.
Sets/Backdrops
This committee communicates with each show's director and/or producer to make sure they have everything needed in terms of set production. It's also the responsibility of this committee to evaluate the condition and needs of our existing set pieces, and recommend improvements or purchases to the Board of Directors.
Awards Nomination Committee
Made up of the Production Council Chair, GILT's Executive Director and the director/producer team of each show, this committee is charged with the responsibility of proposing the ballot of award nominees (The GILTYs) to be mailed to GILT members each year.
Awards Event
Our annual awards event, the GILTYs, is a fun and memorable way to recognize those who contributed their time and talents to the Grand Island Little Theatre. This committee works with the Marketing Committee to plan and promote the event to our members.
Historical
We absolutely treasure our past. And it's partly because we've been able to look back on it with help of this committee and their scrap-booking skills. This committee is responsible for maintaining a scrapbook of our productions, events and newsworthy happenings.
Building Maintenance
This committee is on the lookout for potential or existing problems with GILT's portion of the College Park building and then reporting it to the Production Council Chair with recommendations on how to remedy those problems. This committee is also encouraged to plan and recommend changes that would make our space more efficient and/or user-friendly.
