Annual Gilt golf scramble
Each August, Grand Island Little Theatre hosts a golf scramble to raise money for the Catherine Fosket Scholarship Fund. The Catherine Fosket Scholarship is unique scholarship that goes to a high school senior or current college student who has been involved with GILT in the past and has a strong appreciation for the arts.
In addition to a worthy cause, there are fantastic flag and raffle prizes along with a provided lunch. While there may be more bogeys than birdies, it's a great way hit the links and support GILT.
This year's event will be Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Fonner View Golf Course - 2224 S. Stuhr Road. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., and shotgun start will be 9:00 a.m.
This event is a three-person 9-hole golf scramble. Entry fee is $40 per person. Teams can be made up of three men, three women, or mixed. Food and beverages will be available at the clubhouse. You may rent golf carts, but they are limited to a "first come-first serve" basis. Call 308-382-0202 to reserve carts. A light lunch served by Fonner View after 9 holes is included in the cost.
